For Gambling Providers

Gambling Help offers support and training for gambling providers and venue staff.

Why should my gambling venue connect with Gambling Help?

Practice 2.1 of the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice requires gambling providers to establish ways to link with local gambling-related support services.

  • Assistance in dealing with a customer whose gambling harm has been brought to your attention
  • Support when a customer wants to be excluded or banned from gambling
  • Support when you want to exclude a customer from gambling because of the effects on their family
  • Provide assistance when a customer wants to exclude from multiple venues
  • Give you tips on how to identify patrons who are gambling harmfully
  • Help you assist an employee who may be experiencing gambling harm
  • Help direct patrons, families, and community groups to counselling and support services
  • Participate in activities and work with you to foster environments for safer gambling and reduce gambling harm in your venue and local community.
